Do you have what it takes?
Can you work with a team of strangers to overcome any problem?
Do you have a love of the outdoors, camping and Scouting Skills?
If yes, we want to hear from you to offer you a place on our Survival Skills weekend onthe 4th-6th August this year.
We’re looking to repeat this in the future but this is the pilot to see how it goes.
You’ll be hiking in to Bibbys Farm but not allowed to camp on the fields or use the toilet block.
You’ll set up camp with support from your leaders in our new Backwoods area where you’ll quickly build a shelter to keep dry and get a fire lit so you can keep warm.
On the Friday, you’ll have supper cooked on the fire and then sleep in your tent and sleeping bag that you brought with you.
Saturday will see a full day of Bushcraft skills, building shelters, firelighting, pioneering, gutting & skinning animals ready for eating for your evening meal. You’ll also build a shelter and sleep in it for the Saturday night.
On the Sunday morning, you’ll break camp, pack away and leave nothing but footprints.
You’ll then be allowed to visit the toilet block & tuck shop and be colelcted to go home.
