Doing your D-of-E and looking for somewhere to volunteer?
We have a couple of ways we can help you.
D-of-E Gold Residential – Each year, we offer a week where up to 12 people can come and volunteer on the site. It is usually in July at one of our busiest times so there is plenty to do and some of our Crew will work with you whilst you help the site run, undertake maintenance jobs, look after visitors and much more.
All food is included as is decent accommodation for the week. See our Events pages for the current dates and more details
Regular weekly volunteering – For those of you that are looking to volunteer on a regular basis for a year or so, we can also offer a position on our Crew. Generally people would come along each week either for a full weekend or just for a day on a Saturday or Sunday. They’d work alongside our other Crew members looking after our visitors and maintaining the site. We have a training programme in place so you would be shown everything rather than being thrown in at the deep end.
To become a member of our Crew, you would need to become a member of the Scout Association and to do this, you would need to undertake a number of mandatory training courses covering First Aid, Safety and Safeguarding. We can provide most of these for you at no cost.
If you want to know more, give us a call on 0300 30 20 007 or e-mail centre.manager@bibbysfarm.org.uk so we can set the ball rolling.
